European Elections 2019
Monday 06 May 2019
The European elections on 23-26 May are a key moment for candidates to commit to protect our fundamental rights. It’s a chance for European citizens to recognize that the European Parliament helps protect the rule of law, and the human rights and dignity of people living across the EU and those outside its borders. At a moment when some leaders in Europe openly attack democratic values, European voters can show that respect for human rights is key to Europe’s future and to reaffirm support for democratic values.
Human Rights Watch’s staff around the EU have a message: The representatives we all elect to the European Parliament will have an impact on the future of our rights and our communities. When you think elections, think human rights!
